For the purpose of making an enquiry, our website may collect the following information. Your name and appropriate contact information including email address, address, preferences and interests. Other information relevant to customer surveys, SEO reports and/or offers may also be requested.

  • What we do with the information collected

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with more information for the product(s)/service(s) you have requested. Your information may also be stored securely in a CRM system for Internal record keeping but will not be sold or used by third-parties at any time. We may use the information gathered (such as Google Analytics – see our Cookie Policy) to improve our products and services. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

We will keep your contact form entries stored on our own email system (the site does not store them) for a period of five years, Google Analytics records for five years, and customer purchase records for ten years.

Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

  • Whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, there maybe fields which you can select to request more information from us. We do not automatically subscribe you to any of our mailing lists unless you expressly indicate by checking a relevant box that you would like to receive marketing messages from us. You will also be ‘double-opted’ in to these lists to reconfirm your interest.
  • If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by emailing us at [email protected]. You can request this information at any time and we will make all reasonable efforts to comply within 2 working days. If we do not hold any information on you we will respond and say so, providing you sent us a working email address.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee may be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to or email us.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

Security

  • Website Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. • Website Software Updates

We constantly update our WordPress website to the latest, secure version of WordPress as soon as we are notified of an upgrade – we have automated notifications in place to make us aware of these updates. Therefore any security issues present with WordPress software will be extremely limited, plus we check and monitor our website files against the WordPress repository to find any abnormalities in the software so we can immediately patch them.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Our SEO report tool is embedded and uses a third-party service to process your email, keyword and website data, then produce your website’s SEO report and email it to you. Your information is stored securely and is not used for any other marketing purposes – apart from Design for Digital Ltd. following up on your initial interest in our service.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

IP Addresses

Our third-party web hosts store your IP address to monitor for suspicious web activity. These records will only identify the computer rather than the individual visiting our website. Monitoring of these IP addresses helps to ensure that your browsing experience on our website is as smooth and reliable as possible. A copy of our website hosts own privacy policy can be seen via this link.
